Jason, Becky and Kids

Twins are loving the clarinet.  They had their first band recital earlier this month.  They're going through clarinet reeds like nobody's business, and have informed me they would like to try the flavored reeds (blueberry if possible).
They use size 2.0

The boy loves reading and has built a model or two. The last one was a Sherman tank.

(Not his selection, just a photo of a model)

Alternatively, if you want to get something the whole family can enjoy on hikes, this dog harness would be good. The dog told me she prefers hot pink and is a size medium.

Riley

Riley reports that she is living in Flagstaff this winter and not doing much traveling this year. She is skiing a Snowbowl 5 days a week and doing yoga most other days.

She listens to vinyl in her house and could always use more. Says you can find it at Best Buy or Barnes & Noble. (There might even be some vintage vinyls that could be picked up at Grandpa's house - hint, hint!)

She says Gift Cards rock! And she has been looking at salt lamps as well to light her poorly lit living room. She says they give off a nice glow. She also likes beeswax candles.

Kirk and Ghia

As usual, thinking of something to post for Christmas is hard, but here are a few ideas.
Kirk can always use a new baseball cap in green or khaki or a long sleeve t-shirt. I am always looking for Christmas ornaments that go with my Christmas story for the year. So this year I am looking for donkeys. I also like gnomes (for no particular reason.)

Christmas Exchange 2018

Christmas Exchange 2018

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judæa in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. ....... And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. (Matthew 2:1-2, 11)
Remember, the season is about Christ everything else is just trimmings.
That being said......... here is our gift exchange list. J
(Look at it as away that we keep in contact with each other over the miles.)

Riley is joining us again this year, the boys have all begged off. (Well, I didn't actually ask Connor).

The Cooleys

Because we are living in the fifth wheel and don’t have any room, I’m thinking a good thing to get us would be a gift certificate to a restaurant in Half Moon Bay, California. That will help us explore our new town.

Will contact you with our PO Box as soon as we get it!

Love to everyone, ghia

"Half Moon Bay is a small city on the California coast, south of San Francisco. A string of beaches along the bay includes Half Moon Bay State Beach. The Coastside Trail leads north to Pillar Point, near the huge waves of the Mavericks surf spot. Nearby, Montara Mountain rises in the protected Rancho Corral de Tierra area. The Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve is on the slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains."

Okay, I think we should plan a family gathering in Half Moon Bay sometime while Kirk and Ghia are there!

The Anglins

Ok, so I am trying not to be an overboard USNA mom, but a few things Navy would be nice to have. I am kind of thinking of collecting some cool anchor kind of things or other nauticals.

Here is a link to one thing I'd love to have: https://www.etsy.com/listing/516396750/rolling-pin-small-embossing-rolling-pin

Wayne loves to read. A good historical fiction other book might be good. If I come up with any suggestions of a book I will post it.

Christmas Exchange 2017

2017 Christmas Exchange

So every year we've had an addition or two, such as first year mom and dad and years following some of our children, but this year we are down to just the four of us. Riley will be spending Christmas in American Samoa and asks to beg out for this year. Carver said he wouldn't mind giving a present, but isn't sure what he would like to receive. I gave him some ideas, but he said for this year he would pass. Steve's adult boys participate when Shelly does all the work........ so we're letting Shelly off the hook! :) Connor is so busy trying to keep his head above water I didn't even ask him. And there we are.

Anyway, we have all done each other at least once in the rotations and so here we go again. :)
