Ghia and Kirk

Here are some Christmas gift ideas.

Just having spent the summer here enjoying the humming birds that came to our feeder, we would like to attract other birds next year so we are looking for a new bird feeder.
This squirrel proof feeder looks fun. Wonder if it would work for our lighter chipmunks? But regardless any cool feeder will do!

As it's getting cold here, I'm looking for new socks to go with my crocs. I like the kind of Nordic look. And Kirk would like a new beanie.

Please don't get everything I'm posting. These are just ideas. Thanks, g

Riley

Riley and Busca

This has been a tough year for everyone. Especially in the socializing department. I have lots of great neighbors around my little place, but what's the point if we can't all get together this holiday season, for a dinner, or game night? We are all trapped in our homes trying not to contract the dreaded COVID. Do they even remember that I live here? This place is so quiet. So, this winter I have decided to let my neighbors know that, yes, I am still around. I have made it my goal to contribute to the usual neighborhood chaos in a couple of ways:

First i like to open all my doors and windows and play my extensive vinyl collection as loud as my sound system will go. (this works best best first thing in the morning or very late at night) This is the album i wish i had, to to play the next time my closest neighbor is trying to do yoga. I think she would appreciate it.

Second is Busca. He is already great at making obnoxious sounds for the neighborhood but i'm not sure its enough. I believe having this bird feeder would encourage all sorts of birds to gather in the yard to make noise and leave droppings. With them as background singers i'm sure that Busca's squawks will be heard to the end of the block and everyone won't be able to forget that he likes head scratches and popcorn.

Thanks for anything you can contribute to my "We Wont Go Quietly. Neighborhood Noise and Chaos Program".

Happy Holidays
Riley

Anglins

 Christie and Wayne (and boys)

(updated from my original post, just in case you happened to look at that - if you did and already made purchases, no problem)

This is always so hard to figure out, we have been blessed with so much that we don't really have needs and the older I get the less I really want.....

But here in one idea or if you come up with an idea of your own you are welcome.

We like to play card games especially when our boys are home, Wayne says a new deck of cards or two would be nice. We hope to play cards with other friends too once more the covid restrictions are lifted.

We'll let you pick, but some cool cards would be fun. Here is a link to a website, I didn't check shipping so it may not be the best way to go, you can check Amazon too, all kinds of cards on there or look anywhere else you want.

https://www.artofplay.com/collections/playing-cards

Other then that there really isn't anything I can thing of, so I was thinking maybe what you don't spend can be donated to one of the Light the World Charity Partners. You find them here:

https://www.comeuntochrist.org/light-the-world-2020/give#global-charity-partners

I like the CARE program, but all the programs look good, so any one of them that you want to donate would be fine.

And as I said, be my guest to come with a whole other idea all together!

 Christmas 2020

"And when they were come unto the house, they saw the young child with Mary his  mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh." Matthew 2:11

Thus the tradition of gift giving...
in celebration of the birth of our Savior.

I'm sad that we won't get to do our exchange in person this year as was hoped
but I hope you are all still up to doing the exchange.

The Anglins

So Christie has been having fun with home improvements, painting and what not. Kind of thinking
a gift card to Home Depot or maybe Sherwin Williams might be the ticket.

Just throwing that out there......

might have to come back with an update if Wayne decides to put his two cents in.

This photo makes the walls look gray, but they are actually a mossy green color. Finally pulled down the wallpaper in our home office, painted and redecorated. Should have taken a before photo, it was pretty sad.

Wayne and Christie

Miss our kids being home with us, but love watching them succeed in their endeavors. Wayne as ever loves his guns and going shooting. I am working on living a healthier lifestyle and also trying to downsize some
(both my body and my junk - LOL).

So.... Wayne says he would really like
a Handgun Shooting Rest

I like surprises so I am suggesting a couple of things I
would like to have, but haven't bought for myself and you can surprise me with one of them if you want or get something else.
I could use some new black hot pads. I like these.

I have an Instant Pot Mini that I am playing around with.
A glass lid or a steamer basket could be useful with it.
